Seriously, though, I don't know the answer to your question - sorry. But if there was a moment of epiphany that convinced me Debian was the best distro ever it was the moment when I typed apt-get install gnucash and it just worked. I spent hours getting gnucash installed and working when using redhat. Yes, this was before the rpm apt port which so many tout as the end to redhat's package management inferiority. But based on your experience, it would seem that it is not the end of redhat's package management inferiority; not yet at least. <duck> -- Hans Fugal | De gustibus non disputandum est. http://hans.fugal.net/ | Debian, vim, mutt, ruby, text, gpg http://gdmxml.fugal.net/ | WindowMaker, gaim, UTF-8, RISC, JS Bach --------------------------------------------------------------------- GnuPG Fingerprint: 6940 87C5 6610 567F 1E95 CB5E FC98 E8CD E0AA D460 ____________________ BYU Unix Users Group http://uug.byu.edu/ ___________________________________________________________________ List Info: http://phantom.byu.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/uug-list
