I've really liked Eclipse, an open-source IDE funded by IBM. Its main focus is Java but plugins are available for several other languages and tool sets. For example, you can run applets or J2EE progs through plugins. It has a built-in debugger, code formatter, refactoring engine, and much more. check it out at www.eclipse.org -> I think you'll be pleased. -- Tyler Strickland definition of defenestration 1. An act of throwing someone or something out of a window. 2. Proper karmic retribution for an incorrigible punster. "Oh, that was _awful_!" "Quick! Defenestrate him!" 3. The act of completely removing Micro$oft Windows from a PC in favor of a better OS (typically Linux).
