I thought I had it right, but Bob's response confused me.  I'm easily
confused.  Does it not work for him with KDE?  In theory, Hummingbird
should be configurable to ignore the root window and show the win32
desktop though.  Anyway, I really don't know how to do it, but I know it
is possible.
