This weekend I installed Debian on
my Powerbook G4. I’m impressed with what I see,
but I can’t get the xwindow system working right.
Everything loads, but is garbled – like I’m looking at ten
overlapping copies of the screen through mini-blinds. Some postings on the web
show that I need to recompile the kernel so linux
will know what to do with my ratheon (sp?) display
hardware. I try to follow the instructions, but I keep getting error
messages. Can anyone tell me how I can
a) fix my display configuration, or b) reinstall mac os X, since I can’t boot from the cd
drive (I don’t know how to configure the yaboot
program either). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Aaron Curtis [EMAIL PROTECTED] |
