Which is part of the reason I'm worried for it. Micrsoft submitted parts
of .Net to a standards body, but has patents on critical parts. If they
decide to throw around their weight, things could get unpleasent. I
worry that they are waiting until everyone gets comfortable using .Net
on Linux, kinda like the mp3 licensing. IANAL, I don't know how critical
the patents are.

The tiny bit of C# I've seen I've liked. Maybe you could do a Mono/C#
presentation some time.
