One other thing: Should those of us planning on attending Thursday's meeting

mind doing that as my job.)

Yes, it is for real. I'm working on the finishing touches of the presentation right now.

As for advance preparation, forget it. Since 3D animation is such a huge topic, I'm going to give more of a general overview of the process rather than a step-by-step tutorial. I'd like for someone to be able to leave the presentation and be able to apply what they learned to Blender, Alias, POV-Ray, Houdini, SoftImage, 3D Studio MAXX, Renderman, or any other 3D program they want, or just watch the next Pixar movie and understand a little better how they did everything. Each program is so different and the learning curve of each so steep that I feel it wouldn't be a good use of time to say "now click on this menu, and then do this, and then..." Sure I'll field questions, but I won't treat it like a Blender "howto" session; that simply won't fit into the hour and a half I have.

And even if you are proficient with Blender, it would be very difficult to keep up because I'm doing a lot of the work ahead of time. Most of my models, textures, and scenes are already built. I'll use the presentation time to put them all together.
