I have 2 network cards in my machine, the first one is onboard and went bad
so I bought a new card. Also I am in the dorms, specificallly Heritage
Halls.

Ifup eth1 gives no message.

/etc/network/interfaces:

auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto eth1
iface eth1 inet dhcp
        hostname HailStorm

Ifconfig eth1 ouptput:

eth1 Link encap: Ethernet Hwaddr 00:a0:c9:ac:15:39
        UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU: 1500 Metric:1
        RX Packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0

        What does your /etc/network/interfaces look like?  What does it say
when you do an ifup eth0.  How about ifconfig?  Thanks.
