Support for NTFS partitions MUST be compiled into the kernel or built as a module of 
the current running
kernel and inserted to work. No way around this except rebooting into ?indows. The 
kernel NTFS is usually 2
part, read-only support/module and separate read-write support/module. I don't recall 
seeing two options in
2.4.20 though, so maybe it's just the one now.. But it simple will not work if the 
kernel does not support it.
