Having used OpenServer alittle, I was not impressed with the product. I just feel that
Daryl & his other brother, Daryl McBride can't seem to make enough money or do well
enough the "normal business practices" way and so they go the "let's sue everyone"
and make money that way.

I find it disgusting and revolting, we have too much of that stuff going on as it is.
I think that Caldera/SCO whatever, is hanging on by its fingernails and is trying
to "suck" money out of IBM and everyone else. Due to their questionable business
practices, I hope SCO/Caldera goes the way of the dodo bird and good riddance.

My two cents....

Nice opinion. If he's talking about OpenServer then he may be right.. But UnixWare is a very solid OS and very
well suited to custom applications for enterprise-sized businesses.. It was super easy to install too (I did
it at least 10 times for training).. Just because SCO as a company sucks a**, doesn't mean that automatically
all their products suck.. That's a pretty immature way to look at things.. I happen to think that M$ makes a
couple of great games (AOE & AOEII). I don't like their business model, or their OS particularly, but the
games are very well made I think.. And how lame would games have been all these years on x86 hardware without
DirectX? They would have been worthless..

At any rate, how many of the UUG members have ever installed and/or played around with any of SCO's products
(not OpenLinux, that was Caldera's product)? They really aren't that bad (well, OpenServer is, but it was
retired) and you shouldn't knock 'em 'till ya try 'em in my opinion.. And you certainly shouldn't believe
everything you see on TV (or read on the internet)!! And form your own opinions. Don't just follow and agree
blindly.. And don't worry about the neighbors yard looking better than yours.. And who cares if your truck has
bigger tires than that other guys? If you like something, you don't have to hide it from everyone just because
the majority thinks it sucks.. I'll be honest, I hated the kernel debugging on UnixWare.. That part was no fun
at all..
