i am trying to ween my wife off of her web-based email clients [1]. i don't want her to use outlook. can anyone recommend some good, powerful, yet lean-n-mean, pop3 email clients for windows?

[1] nothing wrong with them when you're away from your computer or on the road... but i think that pop3 clients are better when you're at your own computer. she is also using accounts like yahoo and juno... so i am trying to show her that there is a better way... especially since i own several of my own domains and she can have a spam free address
I know this isn't the answer you're looking for, but why not run SquirrelMail on one of your own domains? Mozilla Mail is a great email client, and I look forward to Thunderbird, but it's certainly not lean-n-mean. SquirrelMail, on the other hand, is and has all the benefits of both Yahoo (and others) and having you're own server.
