As you can see below, I am a strong advocate of the Open for Business platform. Not sure what you need to do, but often Java Beans are overkill and if you are going to be doing a lot of database work, it is a lot of trouble to create classes for each entity just to persist them. OFBiz has an entity engine that masks most of the database details. Lately OFBiz has been doing a lot to automate the generation of forms.

It is also some of the best examples of Java coding and pattern use that you will find (except for the parts that they let me write :0).
