Google Groups search finds remarkably similar code to one of the slides
SCO presented as evidence that Linux copies line-by-line from
proprietary  Unix code.

Look for this in the 6/26/1984 Usenet posting:

http://groups.google.com/groups?q=%22Allocate+%27size%27+units+from+the+given+map.%22&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&selm=2551%40allegra.UUCP&rnum=1

/*
  * Allocate 'size' units from the given
  * map. Return the base of the allocated space.
  * In a map, the addresses are increasing and the
  * list is terminated by a 0 size.
  *
  * Algorithm is first-fit.
  *
Compare this with this slide shown at SCO Forum:

http://www.heise.de/newsticker/data/jk-19.08.03-000/imh0.jpg

You'll see that the Linux comment is nearly identical to what was posted
to Usenet nearly 20 years ago. This could hardly be considered
proprietary UNIX code!

If this is the best SCO can do, they have a REALLY WEAK case.
