CVS for genealogy? There's something I haven't heard of before. Not a
bad concept, though.

I've been working off an on on a genealogical management tool over the
summer. It is coming along slowly, but surely, and probably even slower
now that school has started. It is similar to PAF, but uses a
relational database model to store the data, and accesses the database
via plugins. Right now, the only one that is implemented is a embedded
database plugin (SQLite), but eventually, I will have a plugin for, say,
the MySQL client, so several people could be hitting the same database
at once. A Linux version is available, with Windows coming soon. Again
it doesn't do that much, but it has the potential to, once I get the
time.

Aw, who and I kidding, it will probably go the way of all the other
red-headed step child open source projects out there. At least it will
have one user though -- me.

On a related note, if anybody is interested in practicing their
CSS/PHP/HTML skills, I'm looking for somebody to maintain the web site.

Thanks for listening.
