Another reason to buy a boxed set; I usually recommend to most new linux
users that they buy a boxed set that comes with a hard copy manual. My Red
Hat 5.1 manual (first linux experience thanks to Byron) was invaluable to
helping me step into this new world. Sure, the same information was
contained in HTML documents on the CDs, but this hard copy made it easy to
reference, read and re-read the basic concepts behind linux and how to get
started. I was so glad to come across the section in the manual "So you've
installed linux, now what?" (or something like that).
