I gotta say, thanks to Steve Meyers for posting that note about Every DNS

http://uug.byu.edu/pipermail/uug-list/2003-October/007158.html

When I read about it, I figured it was too good to be true. I tried it this week, and now I'm converted. :)

Their philosophy seems pretty reasonable to me, too: *Why:* DNS is often compared to the analog equivalent of the /White Pages. /If this is the case, why do people pay for DNS hosting when their phone number is listed in the white pages for free? We feel that DNS should be free for both listings and lookups, not simply the latter.

Which makes me wonder -- how much traffic does a DNS server process, anyway?

Steve
