Clarification:

While I'm sure I've been guilty of hitting Reply All on more than one
occasion, I do agree with the majority that cross-posting should be avoided
whenever possible.

But the fact is, it's not a perfect world, and just as there will always be
spam, there will be cross-posts. So while it'd be nice if everyone thought
twice before cross-posting, the fact is they don't, and any amount of
threads on the topic of double-posts won't make the problem go away. The
best thing you can do is set up some filters...
