I've got three problems on my gentoo box:
(All relevant hardware info at the bottom)
1) I'm having problems with Apache 2.0.48.
It's a clean install, no changes made to the configs. Straight html gets
served up fine, from localhost and from remote machines. Images are another
matter, though. Images serve up to localhost, but if I connect from another
machine, it just sits there, doing nothing. The requests never show up in
the logs.
2) Samba's acting kinda funny - all I'm having it do is serve up home
directories. Browsing available shares works fine, but if I try to browse
INSIDE a share, it pauses for a long time and tells me that the specified
resource is no longer available (paraphrased).
3) X seems to usurp the graphics subsystem somehow - when I switch from X to
a VT, all I get is a black screen.
All other network services appear to work fine - ssh (to and from the
machine, dyndns client, browsing out onto the web from it, etc.
TIA,
William
