The truth about BYU Surplus is that stuff that gets surplussed ends up
there. It's really pretty hit-and-miss. There was a time when you could
make a living off their insanely low prices. Their prices aren't quite
that low.

Unless of course you're lucky enough that they have no idea what that
thing is, but you do. Then you can often get a very good deal.

You might be able to get a RAID card, but you'd probably have to buy the
server it's in (I once bought an HP workstation because it had a zip
drive. It was like $10).

You might find a server rack there, but you'd have to go to find out.
There's a lot of junk there. Much of it is just that.

Try DI. Seriously, if you go there every Saturday morning you'll
probably find your trip worthwhile at least once a month. Get there
early though. People run to be the first one in the computer section. If
you don't believe me go try it. My wife doubled over with laughter when
I took her.

Some examples to wet (whet?) your appetite:
Palm IIIx $5 (broken, sorta ;)
HP Scanner w/ sheet feeder $12 (SCSI broken, USB still good)
Digital Camera (I forget what model) $5 (also broken, sorta ;)
The list goes on...
