I'd just like to emphasize, one more time, that I never intended the SSS
cd as an active proselytizing tool. I simply meant that anything that is
associated with BYU reflects on the church -- and therefore I'd like to
have the best disc we can have, so that it will reflect well on the
church. I absolutely and unequivocally promise to NEVER hand a
non-member an SSS cd and then say, "Would you like yo know more about
the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?"

Except keep in mind who are target audience is, and who the community
backing us is. BYU sports teams don't hand out pass-along cards at
every
single game. The Church doesn't send rogue missionaries to countries
where
they're not welcome. Trying to give someone a message -- no matter how
important -- when they don't want to hear it doesn't make you zealous.
It
just makes you an overbearing fool.

In case you have missed this rather crucial point, few geeks are in
favor of
organized religion. The number of people on Slashdot who bash Mormons
along
with SCO should give you a pretty good idea that we're not entirely in
friendly territory. Using the SSS CD to evangelize anything other than
Open
Source software would be counterproductive at best, and probably even
detrimental to our case. Just make the CD, explicitly associate it with
BYU, and people will already know where we stand as far as religion
goes.
