What about the light of Christ? We know that everyone is born with it. I
know a very good psychologist who worked with sex offenders for years, and
she said that she was convinced that everyone (or at least, 99% of people)
are basically good. It's true that people can condition themselves to sin
without any temptation - hence locks in the temple. But that doesn't mean
that they're a basically bad person. It means that they've submitted to
temptation so many times that now as soon as the opportunity to sin presents
itself, they do so without really thinking about it.

But like I said - I think we've had this discussion before and I don't think
that anyone convinced anyone else of anything.

>> This hinges on the assumption that humans are basically good

> I think this is a very bad assumption.
