The only thing I would add is that you should *always* check out www.tomshardware.com for great comparisons, reviews and to keep up to date on the latest technology, or on the current "best bang for your buck" hardware. Before actually purchasing anything you should research it on www.pricewatch.com for an idea of a good price. Don't worry about remembering everything you research, there'll be new speeds, new types, new configs, new these and new those, so in a few months you'll feel just as lost as you might now feel.
