So in order for this to survive various other network troubles another problem has to be resolved. Either resnet is still whacked from this morning or dhclient has given up asking for a lease. I'll need some way of telling it to keep trying!
Also, I have to wonder if I could register my entire subnet, or trick the system into letting me onto another VLAN.
