Yes, but the marginal benefit to the people requires zero marginal
additional effort on your part.

Unless, of course, your government does not take away peoples' freedom
to copy said software.

Protectionism over the ``IP industry'' is one of the most rampant
abuses of government in the history of mankind.  It is an entirely
artificial market induced by an artificial scarcity, and as long as we
choose to perpetuate it, we will continue to stagnate our economy.
