I can see OIT still requiring it, though....   In my experience, the
phrase "I'm running linux" tends to cause plenty of people at OIT to
assume that whatever problems you're having/reporting, and that you
know nothing about what you're doing, so you should go install windows
and everything will magically start working again....

at least OIT has never told me to "contact linux" with my problem......
