And if simple control is all you need like play/pause, seek, stop,

I'd like an iTunes replacement if possible (or at least something
"good enough").
Right now we do all our music on my wife's Mac, in iTunes. iTunes
doesn't do Ogg, which I'd like to start switching to,
Silly Michael,

There is another one out there, but I forgot what the URL is. This
won't make it work with your iPod, but you can import them into iTunes
and play them without any trouble.
Course that doesn't solve the problem of which computer is on, but that
could be solved by sharing the music libraries. There are some really
easy ways to control iTunes other than with the GUI, a quick Google
search showed the following:

browser/

The first is a shareware product, and the next two are HOW-TO's for
windows and OS X.
