Scott, maybe you can clue me in on the problem we're having with
Serviceguard. We've been using Serviceguard for about 5 years (hacked
to work on Debian Sarge of course) and been happy with it. We do use
Centos on workstations and some servers, but Debian is our preferred
distro (for license, religious, philosophical, and selfish reasons). I
just finished the painful process of hacking 11.18 to work in Debian
Etch/Testing (Etch with glibc pulled in from Testing and another machine
that is full Testing). It works with the exception that when we query
mysql for the list of machines to add to iptables (client added script
in nfstoolkit 1.0), the mysql client segfaults. The same mysql script
runs great when called from the shell and not cmrunpkg. I've tried to
strace it to maybe get a clue what's different when it segfaults, but no
dice. I'm still clueless... ;-)

So, do you (or anyone else on the list) have any idea why mysql would
segfault only in Serviceguard? I know HP has a long track record of
supporting Debian
(http://h71028.www7.hp.com/enterprise/cache/390110-0-0-0-121.html), and
though I may be the only one, I would love to see Serviceguard extended
to support Debian as well. Is Debian in the Serviceguard roadmap, or is
the source available to client/outside developers?

Grazie,
