I'm betting they'll help you grab a CD key from the MSDNAA site (http://msdn07.e-academy.com/elms/Storefront/Home.aspx?campus=byu_cs - anyone enrolled in a CS course has access) and let you use their media for the install. As such, if you /just/ want that, there isn't a compelling reason to go to the event - though downloading the media from the MSDNAA site /does/ require a windows box. As to crashing the party with some sweet linux demos, that could be fun - though I'd probably put Windows in a VM while I was at it.
