Off topic here, but a cheaper solution than an Alix router, that I've
rolled out for my relatives, is a WRT54GL with custom iptables and a
SheevaPlug running Debian with DG on it.  Works pretty darn well.

If you're interested in cool embedded toys, the SheevaPlug is pretty
cheap ($100) and pretty capable.  512 MB Ram, 1.4 GHz ARM CPU, ethernet,
SD slot, USB port.
