Andrew's joke was understood by its intended recipients (well except
one, but that wasn't Andrew's fault at all).  Are you now holding him
accountable for the reactions of people (OIT in this case) who were not
the intended recipients and read it without Andrew's permission or
knowledge?

I don't see how your scenarios about joking about bombs in the airport
or trying to joke with soldiers guarding military installations is
germane to e-mail monitoring.
