I think for family members it makes sense to do this, and consider all
the forms of communication.  Doesn't hurt also to warn grandparents to
always defer to the parents for things like bail money!  Basically
establish channels.  Interesting things to think about.

These things are difficult issues because social engineer is so
pernicious and requires a lot of caution, something that the social
engineer is trying to get you to throw out by making you think it's an
emergency.
