I don't know about the dorms, but the on-campus wireless that does the 
same scans, specifically excludes both Linux and Mac OSX.  At least it's 
supposed to for the time being.  It's all based on some product from 
Cisco (I don't remember the name), that doesn't have much for either of 
them yet, but they keep saying that Mac scanning is coming...eventually.
