How about those disks that you replace? They are probably bigger than my
disks. Ok, maybe not all of my disks, but some of them. I have one
computer still cramped on a <100G, not to mention my laptop on a measly
20g, so if you have a laptop ide drive, I'm very interested. ;)

Back to the original subject. I just got looking at my situation closer,
and I not only have multiple LV on my disk that I want to replace, but
one of those LV is >300G, so mirroring that onto a new 160G disk is
definitely NOT going to work. I pretty much *need* to mirror on a pv
level, that or just plan on the config restore thing if something does
go wrong. My situation is this: one PV of 100G and one of 500G, 5 LV,
the aforementioned 369G one, spread across both PV, and var on the small
pv, and root on the small pv. I could mirror the two small LV that fit
entirely in the small PV, but that large LV presents somewhat of a
problem, and no free space on either preexisting PV to move things
around on.

I still can't find anything about pv level mirroring. Seems like it
should be a no-brainer to me...
