Hello, I use ssh-agent for my ssh keys. I use gpg for email signing and encryption. I keep passwords in an encrypted text file using gpg, but this leaves much to be desired. A password manager program is a good solution in many cases, though I was surprised when I wasn't able to find one that uses GPG as a backend.
Of course the encryption schemes that the common trusted password managers use are sufficient, but I'm just curious if there's a reason to not use a GPG backend. It seems like a logical design-- GPG is a tried and tested encryption technology, why not use it as a backend for a password manager? Is there something inherently wrong with that idea? Let me know your thoughts! Jeff Anderson
