So, my wife informs me that my daughter spilled water on our desktop machine (while it was running), and it shut off and won't turn back on. She said something smelled smokey. I haven't gotten home to look at it yet, but I was wondering what the best way is to diagnose water damage problems and find out what is salvageable. Should I wait some amount of time before even trying, in the hopes that it might dry and still be ok?
