The compiler documentation is somewhat terse and hard to find, sadly. But, pretty much, if you have Visual Studio installed, there should be enough info to get it working. I've yet to get any of the other compilers working with UWIN. I don't know for sure whether it's Vista's fault or UWIN's fault or just plain ol' PEBCAK.

If I could figure out how to get all of the supported compilers working, I'd donate a new, more "hand-holding", document to replace it. Though I can see valid arguments against making the barrier to entry TOO low. ;)

I looked for PACKAGE_cc in /usr/, and find only:


PACKAGE_cc is an environment variable that you have to set and
export to the directory in which you install the underlying compiler.
/usr is the directory were the interface to the compiler
resides.
