I think (ex/im)plicitly, like with practically all open source projects
(will sources be published ?) the developers are proposing users/testers
a fair deal, namely:
1) we, the developers, develop;
2) you, the users, test for us, and ultimately benefit.
So far so good.
The key point is:
"
There is no guarantee that each of these updates will be improvements on
earlier postings
"
- this is also understood/expected, and _because_ this is understood, we,
the users/testers, need an ability "to roll back", i.e. if something
worked and we were satisfied with it at least partially, and if it became
broken, we need to be able to continue with the release that used to work.
So, can we expect that old releases are _not_ removed ? This is the case
with open source projects AFAIK.
Or we need to stash each release we've tried ?
Thanks,
Sergei.
