TC,
           yes, there are more considerations than simple spacial 
clearances. all of them pose "fitment" problems of one kind or another.
           really, all these things have been dealt with by several OEM's 
and can be viewed on various showroom floors. some integration of the 
current applications HAS to be possible.
           copy-cats might not be first but sometimes fair better because of 
better entry information. i've gotten as far as i have by listening more 
than talking , observing twice as much as doing.
           no inference to anyone intended, just a system of mine, learned 
through many cases of doing exactly the opposite and hurting for it.
           developement is what i was trained to do and my favorite 
instructor constantly reminded me that "there is nothing new under the sun, 
all your ideas are old ideas and have been done by someone smarter than you 
already, your job is to find the way that we can profit from all THEIR 
mistakes."
