Bill, i've seen people wrap them with some kind of 'adhesive sandpaper' (for lack of better terms) and then they work ok for hwy pegs. But with using them just the way they are, there not too great, I find my feet keep sliding to the outer edges. Vern Hathaway has the pegs with the 'material' on them, maybe he can shed some light as to where it comes from.
