Easier than a boating supply store, there may be few for inland locations.
Home Depot sells the same kind of tape in the ladder dept.

Go to your local Boating store and purchase a roll of "non slip tape" (it's
used on the slippery parts of the bow of large boats) Cut it to size and put
it on your case guards. You will have to paint it to match the engine. It
works great, your feet won't slip, and it also looks good.
