I hadn't thought of the plastic beads.  Good idea.  I haven't seen any at

local supply house tho.  Anyone have a link to an internet source?

Using walnut shells for your media will remove any protactive coating you may have.
I'm refering to the Alclad, if it's on the tanks at all. I'm not to sure. But you can get a
plastic bead media that will work just as well, without causing any damage to the tank itself.
It's also cheaper than walnut shell media.

I've got the original aluminum tanks on my '76 Sovereign.  For
some strange reason, the previous owner had spay painted them
with what looks like aluminum colored Krylon.  I want to clean
them up, but hate to use caustic strippers.
