Yes, I'd like to join and help with the Vermont, Ubuntu team.  I think that Ubuntu needs to offer a scaled down version to compete with Puppy Linux.  I have Ubuntu on my home computers but I use Puppy on my flash drive.  Also, it is much easier to move files arround with Puppy without worrying about permissions.

There is no team for Vermont yet.  I see a great opportunity here.  Is  anybody (Paul) want to put together something, possibly with strong  ties to VAGUE.

One idea I have is to offer install festivals, software support  meetings and Video game LAN party nights, for the people who use  Ubuntu. Along with advertising to bring in new people.  Does anybody  have more, better, or amendments to these ideas? The Ubuntu developer  community is huge, so Ubuntu packages for almost every conceivable  open source Linux program are available within the GUI.

Cheers,
Andrew T
