Subject: Can anybody say what is the origin of word "jaffna"

Delft,kayts,leyden,middleburgh all srilanakan island names belongs to
Holand.

As our Tamil  "Thapal kanthor" orginal "Tapat Kantoor" of Holand.
Colombo get's it name from a portuguese man,there is also a place named 
colombo in Brazil.

So from where comes this name "Jaffna"?
