Hello, gang, I just found an oblique coordinates system module that Brent
has stuffed into the sample code section of vassalengine.org. Let me give
this a whirl...

Subject: [vassalengine] Looking for guidance or examples on custom mapboard
coordinate systems

Hi, I'm the owner of the Advanced Third Reich module. A3R is one of
the few games in history that uses an obligue hex coordinate system --
the vertical axis is expressed using alphabetic notation and "properly"
goes straight from top to bottom, but the second axis actually follows
hex diagonals. I don't believe that VASSAL's built-in support for
defining hex coordinates supports this scheme, thus I need to do a bit
of custom work to accomodate the game. Do any of you have advice as to
what I need to do to establish a custom coordinate system? Even
better, do any of you have any custom code that I can reuse?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
