I was one that asked to switch back to the OS native file chooser because the Java one couldn't be sorted in anyway by Creation Date ...
I find it easier to pick the last save game.. but, hey, that's just me! To remember a folder is easy to program and set to the dialog box (well in C++ is easy , dunno for Java) In fact, one cool feature could be making it remember the folders based on the game that is loaded. I used to put the mods and the saved games in different folders. --- In [email protected], Gary Krockover <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Nice summary, thanks Joel. > > GJK > > At 08:02 AM 2/2/2007, you wrote: > >The whole situation with file choosers in Java makes me want to pound > >nails into my eyes. > > > >People on Windows and Mac OS like their native file choosers, partly > >because they have system-specific whiz-bang features.
