Is our VASSAL gaming community the only one dealing with issues like these?

  1) A troll "smurfing" someone else's known nickname and being a complete jerk
causing others to then blame an innocent party.

  2) A chat exploit where a troll can "broadcast" chat text into every other
room, even locked ones. (Will avoid giving details in message but I believe I
know how it's done.)

  3) Locked rooms failing to keep out troll as it's easy to "break in". (Will
avoid giving details but I can do it.)

  4) Troll enters a game, syncs as an observer, and then uses Undo, and Dice
button to respectively jack up the game position and spam the chat window
preventing players from moving forward with the game. There's no good reason to
allow an obverver access to these function I can think of--is there a way to
lock them to players only like other buttons?

  5) Complete anonymity (no IP even) preventing tracking even if the troll is
back in another identity.

Star Wars Miniatures is one of the larger VASSAL communities, but certainly
not the largest. Have we just been unlucky dealing with a rash of these issues
for our 3rd time in 2 years?

Is any relief on the horizon?

PS. VASSAL is great. But our current situation is damaging our cummunity and
driving players away after we've worked hard to attract them to trying it.

  Thanks,
