The B5 CCG module doesn't have that problem. Does your deck have the property to always be face down?
I did some some problems with this in early testing of the deck save/load. The other issue might be java stack size. If you done as I have and used the entire card image, space gets eaten fast by Vassal with 500-600 50K images rotating in a game. Have you monitored your memory usage and incresed it as needed?
