JRE is Java Runtime Environment, which is a small
subset of "Java", especially when compared to JDK
(Developer's Kit), so you may have loaded a lot of
stuff you won't need.

Can you place a "My Computer" icon on your desktop? If
so then you should be able to navigate to any
directory on your machine. You might also have to
enable "Show Hidden Files" in your folder views. I
would do that anyway and make sure it applies to all
folders. But many "lite" users would disagree.

And it took all my will power to use the term "folder"
instead of directory.
