Yes but then my piece will be as I originally designed, versed divided by
extension.

If you do that without copy/pasting the piece into the extension, then
players who don't have the extension loaded will see the piece listed in the
Palette, but it will be drawn as a blank. It works fine for people who have
the extension but is confusing for the rest.
