Check you really don't have the current version first - open a Terminal window, and type 'java -version'. You should get version of "1.5.something", which is required by the current VASSAL build. If you don't, you can grab the latest Java update for 10.4 from http://developer.apple.com/java/download/ Cheers, Tim.
