Hello Sérgio, To test whether it works with our code, you would need our whole unmodified code tree (preferably an svn checkout, as that is where we apply all changes first). Apply your change, rebuild the Additions as a whole (configure etc, kmk VBOX_ONLY_ADDITIONS=1, kmk VBOX_ONLY_ADDITIONS=1 packing) to build an Additions installation ISO file and use the ISO file to install Additions in the guest.
To answer your questions specifically: Additions/common/VBoxService/VBoxServiceAutoMount.cpp is used in the VBoxService user-mode daemon. That daemon talks to the vboxsf.ko kernel module. The file is not used in the kernel module, but changes in the file without matching changes in the kernel module can prevent the two from working together. I hope that was helpful.
